كيف عمل صندوق بالفيبرجلاس fiberglass

this one of the most important topics in car's sound system
most of car users doun know that stuff
but of course there people know

first fiberglass very dangers material so be careful when u use it

first material what we need to this project :

fiberglass
resin
hardener
filler
foil
fleece
glue gun
mdf
sand paper
mask tape
gloves
brushes



first u must know wat are u going to do
go to ur car and figure out what the idea i want to do in my car woofer's or door panel or any thing else
and
u must be sure that u take the right measure of ur car trunk because once the fiberglass dry
u can't get it off




then cut the base of ur box with the mdf and make the subs ring the the amplifier rack and glue them together by sort of any strong glue








After you have framed the entire enclosure and glued all the pieces in place securely,
you are ready to cover the project in fleece and start with the resin
don't use fleece made by cotton because it can shrink make it thiner
and u can use it made by polyster
use the glue gun the stable the fleece with the mdf and make sure it is stretchy





Here is the first coat of fiberglass resin that I used on the enclosure. Soak it down until the resin shines on the fleece , this will indicate that the resin is completely saturated with resin.
Allow this to dry and and make other layer's as much you want we used about 8 layers of fiberglass
after they dry u sand the entire project with 80 grit sand paper and we use the paint roller to squeeze any
air bubbles





after that we make the body filler
we mix some resin with body filler with ratio 1:5 and we put the hardener
{the ratio between the hardener and the filler came with filler}
for both sand the filler before it completely dry to make easy sand
and it will gum ur paper a little







u take the box back to the car and we want now to make cover for the project



we mask the box with the mask tap and then we put the 2 layer from the thin foil





we put fiberglass resin over the thin foil just to make 2 layer and take off the cover and then make 3 or 5 more layers and then sand it and then filler it again and here we go



and here is the cover preprint state we sand it with 400 grit and then with 600 grit to make smooth of it as much as u can



we paint the cover with any color you want

general tips
don't smell the resin and fiberglass when they mixed they
are very toxic material
u must wear the gloves to protect you
acyton will help to remove the resin if u want to use again ur brushes
be careful when u use the resin with the hardener
to much hardener the mix will hard very fast
too small amount of hardener and it will never cure
sanding is very important u must sand very will
